View from the hedge

This little critter was sunning him or herself on our hedge the other day. A rare non-overcast, windy, spitting fog, or otherwise disappointingly cold and wet summer day in San Francisco.

Wildflowers in front yard

Maria threw wildflower seeds around the front yard last fall, and they have thrived. These red poppies have been fascinating me with their hairy pods, the intense red petals, and the amazing stamens with caps of pollen.

Gordy and Pronto

Here is my first Favorite video, of a visit between Gordy and Pronto. Gordy was a bit of an a-hole, but Pronto didn’t seem to mind very much.

Here’s a red lettuce from the ironically named “Sunnyside” neighborhood garden. Yes, it’s been a cold and foggy summer.
